HUDDLE
The Mission
 
The Loyalsock HUDDLE promotes athleticism in student athletes, promotes communication between football coaches and parents/friends, seeks projects that support the football program, yet are not fundable from other sources and conducts fundraising activities to support these projects. The HUDDLE seeks to compliment the role of the School District, the Athletic Director, and the Booster Club by addressing needs of the football program, which are unable to be met by these groups.
 
 
The formation of the HUDDLE club, solely for football, was encouraged by Tim Thompson during his last season as head football coach at LTHS in 2003. The football team has no additional monetary resources apart from the Booster Club, which covers all teams at LTHS. The money made at home games does not go to the football team. The breakdown of money made at home games is as folllows: Admissions (school for team sports), Concession Stands (Band), 50/50 (Booster Club).
 
 
Membership
 
Open to parents/guardians of student athletes, other community supporters, players and coaches of PIAA sanctioned football teams from middle school through high school. Membership is also open to parents and guardians of the Pop Warner football players.
 
 
Meetings
 
During the football season the HUDDLE meets every other Tuesday evening at 7:00 P.M. in Room D-3 of the LTHS. Biweekly meetings will be held starting Tues--August 11, 2009) and continue through post-season playoff. During the off season meetings are held quarterly. Meetings provide opportunity to meet and talk with the coaching staffs. Everyone is welcomed and invited to attend and join--there is NO membership fee.

Over the years The Huddle has provided support for Loyalsock Football with the web site to help communicate to students, parents and Lancer fans. The web site was first developed in 2005 by the effort of Karen & (2007) Nick Tate and Bill Kelly. The Huddle would like to thank them for the countless  hours to start up and maintain the orginal web site.

In recent years with the success of Lancer Football, officers and members of The Huddle have put countless hours for fund raising, planning meals, cooking team dinners, scheduling bus trips for playoffs along with all the projects listed below. The Huddle along with players and coaches are sincerely grateful to Mary Jo & Maurice Bower along with Maureen and Dr. Carey for their hard work and support over many years. Also thanks go out to all The Huddle’s past officers & members for their efforts and support. Thank You!
